Greetings Family and Friends,

Well, might be the middle of winter right now but things are starting to heat up the VFM Farm right now. Katie and Linda (mother in-law) has been starting to get busy training miniature horses. Which I'm very proud to announce that Katie will be acutally showing horse's again this year. I'm happy for Katie and I know her mom is more excited to have her daughter showing once again.

Speaking of showing horse's, Benjamin will also be joining his mom as well. Yup the whole family is starting to get into it now. Ryan is a total question mark but as the show season draws near, we'll truly see him Ryan will show. As for Amber, will she's still small but she'll be in the stands with me, rooting on her mother and her brother(s).

Yeah, I've slacked the last couple of weeks but I'm going to update this website every weekend as well the VFM Farm site as well. That way I can share all the news and currents events happening. But as for the Northwest Comics And Games website, that site gets updated everyday. Which if you click on the link the page were almost to 30,000 views!!!!

School is going well for the most part. Been doing good in writing class, I have two papers I need to finish this weekend and math is going well. I'm getting a low B in the class but I took my second math exam on Friday so I hope thing helps my grade. Basketball is going well. I'm just busy right now and I'm trying to get everything done.

Freezing & Charley Horses

Greetings,

It's Saturday and guess what? It's very cold up here! That darn east winds is making the the skies clear, which is beautiful but the temperature freezing. So Groundhog Day was this past week and that wild Punxsutawney Phil told the world.... Six more weeks of winter on the east coast. No really, what winter does Oregon have? We have rain during March to July 4th. Snow? What snow? We haven't had a huge winter storm since 2009? Snowed 7 inches, freezing rain, and then again more snow. I remember the power bill.

Anyways, I woke up this morning at 4 am because of this.....

Leg Cramp aka Muscle contraction causing a "charley horse" (it happened to me this morning) and it hurt!!!! This time it was my left leg not my right leg in past charley horses. So I after my charley horse, I thought I better look it up. Why did this happen to me? What can I do to prevent this?

Here is the definition:
"A muscle cramp is a sudden, uncontrolled contraction of a muscle. This type of pain is most commonly experienced in the legs, and therefore often called a leg cramp or a "charley horse."

Leg cramps occur when the muscle suddenly and forcefully contracts. The most common muscles to contract in this manner are muscles that cross two joints. These muscles include the calf (crossing the ankle and knee), the hamstring (crossing the knee and hip), and the quadriceps (also crossing the knee and hip). Leg cramps usually last less than one minute, but may last several minutes before the contraction subsides. In some patients, the leg cramps occur primarily at night, and can awaken the patient from sleep."

What causes a leg cramp?The exact cause of a leg cramp is not well understood, but there are some risk factors that are thought to contribute to this condition:

Muscle fatigue
Heavy exercising
Dehydration
High weight (not necessarily obesity)
Electrolyte imbalances
Medications (statins, prednisone, others...)

The most common cause that is typically seen in patients who develop leg cramps is exercising in an unusual way, meaning either more activity or a different exercise. Leg cramps are more common in young (adolescent age) and older (over 65) patients. Patients who weigh more are more prone to developing leg cramps. Also, some medications can cause side effects of leg cramping.

How can leg cramps be prevented?

Stay Hydrated
It is not well known exactly how dehydration and muscle cramping are related, but it is known that dehydration can predispose to leg cramps. Drink at least three full glasses of water each day, including one before bedtime. Also drink plenty of fluid before, during, and after exercise.
Stretch Regularly
Stretching can relax muscle fibers. When working out, a good post-work out stretching routine can help relax muscles and prevent cramps. Make sure you cool down after exercising, and do not exercise vigorously just prior to sleep.
Train Gradually
Gradually build up an exercise program, and try to avoid sudden increases in activity. The "10% Rule" is a good rule of thumb: never increase your exercise over one week by more than 10% compared to the week before. Sudden changes in activities can cause leg cramps.

What is the best way to make a leg cramp go away?
Usually instinct takes over when a leg cramp strikes, and you massage and stretch the sore muscle. This is a perfect instinct and often solves the problem. The best steps are:

Massage the cramped muscle
Stretch the muscle (gently!)
Take a hot shower or bath to warm and relax the muscle

So now we have learned something as a family and friends. This charley horse happened in my best guess because of dehydration. I spent all day driving yesterday to Corvallis and back home. Could it be my meds? I don't think so..... This is just another reason I need to invest in a hot tub. Or it could be because it's just to damn cold. Have good weekend.

Good Morning,

It's another wonderful weekend here in the Portland Metro-area with clouds over head and rain dropping all over the landscape. That's what the next five months is going to look for us but that Oregon and it's home. So school is busy for my right now with a lot of homework and some very cool project going on. My dream weaver class is fun, it's a whole new world out there. Cutting edge some people would say back in the 80's. Writing class is great. I totally dig my teacher and I've heard her say that a lot of people take her for being a student. But I'm writing so much, it's fun and I enjoy it. I'll be posting some of my work here soon, so you guys can see what I'm doing. I'm also doing some projects, for example I'm doing one project on interruptions. This weekend I'm keeping track (while doing homework) to see how may times my kids interrupt me in a four period. I answer questions like description of interruption, valid, urgent, also adding time and person. So far it's Benjamin just needing a hug.

Anyways, I also took a career skills test for my writing class. Which this was assessment test about the following: interests, values and abilities. Or in other words is the degree I'm going for worth it? Am I meant for something else?!! I took the test and the questions were so, so but I was leading towards more small business (Northwest Comics) but the result were crazy and nothing I was ready for.

Hello family and friends,

Time has gone so fast and school has me very busy right now. I'm taking a writing class which is keeping me very busy and it's great because the freewriting part helps me create new idea's for the Northwest Comics And Games website. In addition to writing, I'm taking a class called CAS-111D Introduction to Dreamweaver.

If you don't know what Dreamweaver is, it's a website program with learning how to read the computer code. I love this class!!!! So much to learn and it's like a whole new world out there. The doors are opening... Maybe to early to talk about it. Math is math but this time around I'm loving it. I ask questions in class a lot, not to be annoying but to make sure I'm doing the problems right.

Oh Mr. Ben!!!!! Ben acting silly at the Rosedale Math/Music Night Concert. They had recording artist Aaron Meyer, who took each class to sing a song about math. It was pretty cool and it was the first major concert that Rosedale school has ever done.

Who is this little lady? Miss Amber having for a picture!!!! Yeah, she knows how to put on the charm, must really get it from her mother.

Hello everyone,

First post of 2012. Yeah, been a little busy with family and working on other sites but that's okay. The boys are finally back to school and it's so nice. Funny, yesterday Katie and I pick up the boys and their were two girls saying good-bye to Ryan. Katie missed the whole thing because she was playing on her phone. Least Ben and I saw it happen. Benjamin was start of the week in his class, he says he had a lot of fun. Speaking of school, I'm finally going back next Monday. Can't wait to start the term and gear up for a full slate of classes but it's going to be fun.

Speaking of fun, how about the Portland Trail Blazers!!!! 5-1 record and looking to improve to 6-1 tonight vs Phoenix Suns. Love to see the run n gun style of play. I'm sorry Brandon Roy was great for the Blazers, but he slowed them down so much playing that crappy half court offense. Nice to see the ball move around more and watching the defense work the boards. I look forwards to the Blazers making a nice play-off run.

Okay, congrats to the Oregon Ducks for winning the Rose Bowl for the first in 95 years. Yup,it was 1917 when the Ducks were last called Rose Bowl Champions. I hope the NCAA doesn't do anything stupid to hurt Oregon's progress because of recruiting issue's back in April of 2011. Hmm, come on Oregon State it's time to finally grab the bull by the horns and do something with your program!!!!!

End of the year is here!!!!

My gosh, what a year it has been for everyone. I think everyone (family and friends) has had their own share of drama this year!!!! Let 2012 be about no drama this year. Right, like that is going to happen anyways, lol.

So what do expect in 2012?

Well, I'll be busy with school again. Focusing on my grades and trying to improve my study habits. Spending more family time with the kids. Helping with horse's is on the list. Teaching the kids something new each week. READ more books!!!! Going to get back into photograph and drawing again. Keep more in touch with family and friends.

Take more weekend trips to place's we need to visit each month? Wow, that sounds like to good idea and we'll be able to finally do something like since Katie will be able to have the time off. There are a few places I'd like to visit in Oregon.

Greetings everyone,

Can't believe it's Christmas time already!!!! I hope everyone was good for Santa this year? I would like to take this time to thank family and friends for a great year. Christmas time is about family's coming together and sharing the moments we'll cherish. Yes, somethings do change thought out the year and new family traditions will happen. It's part of life people.

Family's get to big and many people are doing different events but still take the time to call someone. Yes, some connections might be lost but it's not the end of the world, trust me!! Time is the best partner we have and time is the best healing factor. Some people are stressed, some people don't talk, some people change and some people will be closer than ever.

In closing, Christmas is about family. Family matter's first!!!! Family will always be there to help and support you in your adventures. Katie and I are looking forward to seeing our family tonight and tomorrow. Making new memory's and beginning new tradition's. I hope you do the same.

2. 'The Polar Express' (2004)
Sure, the performance-capture technology may have rendered the children a touch frightening to look at (at least it improved dramatically with 'Beowulf'), but there's still plenty of joy to be had in this fast-moving adaptation of the beloved children's book starring an ensemble of Tom Hankses.

Well, I have some good news this morning to report. I've checked my final grades for fall term. I've done very well this term and I've finished for the first time with a 4.0 GPA. I'm so happy with myself and shows hard work does pay off. I can't wait for winter term to start up.

Greetings everyone,

What a week it's been around here. Ryan turned 8, I'm finishing finals, and were on winter break (finally). The last few weeks just went by!!!! It's nice for me to finally get back into writing on the website. Katie and I are looking forward to seeing family this Christmas. Did everyone finish your Christmas shopping yet?

We've been through a lot of changes this year. The two major one's are Katie leaving Hillsboro Vet. Clinic for Frontier Vet. Hospital. This was the best change for Katie and I know it was scary but she's so happy. I'm happy and the whole family is happy. As for myself, going back to school is another big step. I just wrapped up my first term at PCC Rock Creek. Going back to school was very tough. I had fun in my classes and met new friends. Just getting back in the habit of studying was hard but now I have a good idea what to expect for next and down the road.

In other news the website is doing very well. http://www.northwestcomicsgames.com/ just posted it's 900th posted and were on a pace to break 25,000 view sometime in the beginning of 2012. We did set some new records this year. One which will stand for a while is 1800 hits in one day, back in September. Yeah, I still can't believe it but it did happen. Sells this years weren't as bad too. On some comic book sales I came out ahead and some I broke even. I learn a lot about shipping comics out and yes, there are people who are just jerks. I don't care but I've learned who to do business with and without.

So what will next year happen to bring us?

Good question?

Well, I know Katie and I have talked about Katie showing again in the Northwest Miniature Horse Club. I know my mother in-law Linda would love to have her own daughter showing horse's again. Years ago, we talked about Katie going back to showing and helping out. Now that the kids are older and Katie can have the time off from work. She's excited to show horse's and Benjamin is going to join his mother this year in showing. Amber is still to young and Ryan just wants to help out. I'll just go along to help if needed or just watch the kids at home.

As for me, just school and I'm trying to get back into basketball shape next winter term. Show these young kids how to play ball. I'm just in it for the running part. If anyone was wondering about my diabetes. I'm doing good. My weight dropped to 261 this year. Lowest ever but remember I was once 305 two years ago. Still need to eat more healthy foods and keep active but I'm very happy with myself. Yeah, school doesn't help but I manage okay. Have a good one!!!!

Greetings,

Can you believe it, that I have only week and a half before the end of the term. Amazing how fast time goes when your busy. Anyways, it's the first of December!!!! You have 24 shopping days til Christmas. With some many family member Katie and I have no clue what we'll be doing but first we have to get ready for someones birthday!!!

In 10 days Ryan will be turning 8. Holy smokes, I can't believe it. I remember when Ryan was born and now he's going to be eight. As a parent I now understand the true meaning of "How time flys." Ryan is doing great in school, his teacher loves him. He's student of the day on Friday, which Ryan is very excited for. Ben is good in school as well. He's a little lady's man in his class and from what his teacher says, "Ben has the charm." I'm totally not surprised.

This past month, Katie and I joined my mother in-law, Linda at NWMHC's Year End Awards. Which was a good showing for VFM Farm. We had a great night, very fun and I'm hoping this is something the kids will enjoy more in the coming years.

The horse "Mikey" took home the following awards - High Point 30" to 32" Senior Stallions, High Point Solid Colored Geldings and Stallions, Overall High Point Senior Stallion, Reserve High Point Country Pleasure Stallions, Reserve High Point Country Pleasure 32" and Under, also AMHA Top 10 Honor Roll (4th Place)...Indy - High Point Weanling Stallion.

Good morning family and friends,

First off, don't forget to set your clocks back one hour!!!!! Yeah, we should've done that last week. Thanks former President Bush for the change. Anyways, Halloween this past Monday was go, go and it's was fun. But my stupid phone deleted some of the picture I took from that day. I'm totally upset. The kids had a fun time trick n treating with their cousin's. Yeah, it made for a long day but everyone had fun and kids come home with a huge loads of candy, most ever I think.

In other news, Katie took Criminal to get his shot yesterday and everything look good for the little white and black furball but he weights 11 pounds. About the size of the turkey I brought home this past week. Crimy as we call him, gets very freaked out a lot and katie is giving him soem new kitty drugs to help him relax more and be a good kitty. This morning we could tell this was already taking effect. Yeah!!!!

One school with a winning record: The Spartans (7-3) came up with five sacks and an interception and advanced to the 5A playoffs with a 34-13 win. The Lancers (5-4) throw the ball around with quarterback Mitch Reese leading the way. Reese entered the game with 1,968 yards passing and 21 touchdowns with four picks. "He's a great thrower," Corvallis coach Chris McGowan said. "He's got a great arm and they've got some good receivers. Corvallis will face Wilsonville next Friday in the first round of the playoffs.

Beavers fans, are season is done!!!! So die hard beavers fans would say your crazy but were not going to a bowl game this year and all we can do now is play the part of spoiler vs Stanford today on ABC at 12:30. The future is bright for next season, but it Mike Riley doesn't have a winning season next fall, then there might need a call for a new head coach. Or there need to be some changes on the coaching staff. We'll see.

Greetings,

Been awhile since I've last posted something here. I've been really busy with school, kids, business and family. First off, school is going good right now for me. Just working on improving my studying habit's and focusing on the small things to help me, be a better student. I guess PCC wants me to retest on writing and reading before next term. I'm going to retest next week but I have a few meets with my teachers to double check I'm ready.

The kids. Well, last week we had the parent/teacher conference for the boys. They are both doing very well in class, both need some help in reading but overall they are doing good. Two months in and were just cursing right now. Speaking of doing good, have you seen that http://www.northwestcomicsgames.com/ has finally broken over 19,000 hits. I'm so proud today. Showing good strong numbers and on the ebay side, I sold all the comics I posted. Not bad but I could always improve on sales side.

Anyways, have to run now but I'll be back.

Good morning,

Well, it's been a long week. Had four quizzes this past week and I feel good about them all. I'm off to study this morning to catch up on all my homework for this week. I love school, I enjoy my reading teacher the most. Math is going well, were working on negative numbers right now. Writing class, is okay. Weight training class is very intense but good for me. I was telling Robert Cheeke, how intense the workout sessions are and talked about good foods to eat. To help tone the body and help me rehab itself after so many injury's over the years.

Katie and I took a trip over to St. John's this week to see Jadah. Finally got to see their new house they moved into. Yes, Jadah was right, it's a lot smaller but very cute. I like the old style home's in that area and I'm very jealous they have a fireplace. Nice to have a warm fire during the rainy days. Still it was great for the cousins to all play and I got to catch up with my nephew and niece. Oh EP, always on the go!!! Love that boy!!!! =) It's great to see my sister and for all of us to get out of house. Even if we hit rush hour traffic.

Northwest Comics And Games is doing well. Ebay sells are finally going up!!!! Great to see comics shipping out. Been very busy on the facebook page, just updating daily information. I use the blog site for the bigger stories for the day. Then I use the facebook page to start discussions, poll questions, try to meet new people. Just talk about random things. Overall, I'm very happy with the work but I still have a lot to improve on.

School update

Good Morning,

Well, it's been a fun week of classes at PCC Rock Creek so far. I know it's been barely my first week but I did drop my first class, don't panic I'm still at 12 credit's this term. I did talk to an advisor a nd he told me that my computer class wasn't even part of my degree course's I need, it was a different class. So I've choosen to drop the class. And take the class I really need in winter term.

So the classes I like by far, Reading, the teacher is very cool. Math, is good. Lot's of homework but I think I can get this down. Writing 93 is the basic, learning of noun's, pronoun's etc. And I have no clue how to tell them all apart. So what I'm thinking, since I don't have classes on Friday's, going to school still and getting a tutor to help in the school. Plus working with a tutor on Math as well. That little extra help and go a long ways for me.

Speaking of school, Ryan and Ben are doing good at school. Funny, Katie goes, "it's great to have all my boys in school this year." Yeah, yeah. I rolled my eye's. Anyways, boys are doing great but I talked to Ben's teacher Mrs. Conroy about school picture's? She told me, she hasn't heard a word yet about them as well? So I'm wondering if they aren't doing them do to budget cuts? I hope not.

One last note before I go, in reading class where going to start reading the Maltese Falcon in class. I know my mom, it's a good book and the movie is good too. I got a copy of it a tthe Barnes & Noble yesterday for not a bad price. Have a great day everyone!!!!

500th Post!!!!

Good Morning,

Yup, I finally made it to the 500th post here. Well, yesterday was the first day of fall and it was a nice day with 80 degree weather. Not bad but today were cloudy and chance of no rain until Monday. Speaking of Monday, I start going back to school and I'm ready. I can't wait since this is something I've put off for the last two years. First class starts at 7am!!!! Katie isn't ready since she has been sleeping the last few days as I take the kids to school.

Were all going to be busy for the next few weeks. Boys in school, Katie working full-time, and I'm in school full-time taking 13 credits this term. Amber is going to be the only one going to her grandma's. Which is great since she has to only watch one child. Pretty good deal uh? Weekends start getting busy now with school events, studying for me and many other things. Nice to be busy.

Here are some random thoughts,

- Congrats to Brett and his wife, they both welcome their first child, this past week. Very happy for them both and wish them all my best.

- Hats off to the Corvallis High Spartans, who are now 3-1 in the football season. They beat down Jefferson 52-6 last night. Way to go!!!!

- Beaver Fans, we need this win so bad. Beavers don't want to start 0-3 for the first time since 2002. I'm hoping for a good game today. With UCLA in town, let's hope for a win, OSU 34 - UCLA 21.

Good morning everyone,

Yup, the rain is finally back!!!! Last week was the last few days of summer. But today I welcome the rain back. Hey, I'm use to the grey sky anyways. Well, first full week of school is in the bag. Boys are doing good so far, no homework yet. What a week it's been for Benjamin.......

I walk into the school office on Thursday and the secretary says, "your son Ben has been the nurse's office twice today." I'm just rolling my eye's thinking, what did Ben do? Turns out, Ben was struck in the face today by a frisbee during lunch break. The secretary thought it was nice for Ryan (older brother) to walk his brother to the nurse's office. Ben is doing fine now, he slept it off for a few hours but what a day for him.

I'm just under a week before starting school once again. Got my books on Monday, took Amber with me and she was a sweet heart. She help me find my books at the student store. I was a very proud dad, having my daughter help me. I just love spending time with her, like Katie says, Amber has daddy all wrapped up.

All family member, just a heads up on upcoming events. I know were in September but Halloween is coming, Thanksgiving, Ryan's Brithday and Christmas. Katie and I do like to plan down the road and if anything is happening this year please let us know. With me going to school we won't be traveling as much unless it's Christmas Eve like Katie and I have done before in years past. Still good to plan a few things a head. Oh my gosh, it's been a crazy week so far!!! Kids are finally back in school, which is great!!!! The boys are finishing up their first week of school and they are loving it. It was funny, I was picking up the boys from school and I saw Ben first with his teacher Mrs, Conroy. She came right up next to me and said, "Ben is just so wonderful, I love it." She didn't want Ben to hear that but my reply was "I told you!!!" We both laughed. I've haven't had much time to talk to Ryan's teacher yet but back to school night is coming up soon and we'll see what she has to say about Ryan. The boys are loving that they can see each other at recess. Just make things more fun now.

Speaking of fun, I can't believe how many views the comic book site is receiving right now. Last week we broke over 105 hits in a single day. But the record wouldn't stand for long, this week we broke the old record with 258 views, then broke it again with 375 views in a single day!!!! Were still averaging about 175 to 225 views everyday!!! Oh my, I can't believe it. I have to give special thanks to Robert Cheeke for helping out as well. Ebay sells are finally starting to go up (about time, lol.) and with strong numbers showing, I can't be anymore happier right now.

Some other good news from yesterday. As some people many know I currently on unemployment because PetSmart are jerks and they don't know anything. So I've enrolled in different programs to help me find a job but hold on..... I'm starting school in less that two weeks. Well, the nice people at Oregon unemployment said, we can help you out with your school!!! Really?!!! They have a program called Training Unemployment Insurance, were they know I'll be going to school full-time, taking over 12 credits this term. They know I can't find a job once school starts. So the programs helps cover me from finding a job right now because they will be paying me for going to school. Which is pretty awesome. I'm currently waiting on the paperwork but I'm getting the ball rolling on this asap.

Yeah buddy, did anyone watch the NFL last night between the Packer and Saints. What a great game it was but speaking of games, I see CHS and CV will play each other last in high school football. I hate this because when I played CV was the last game to play at the end of the year, not the second game in the season. I hope someone will say something about asking for a change. You never know. Never knowing, how about the Beavers. What a tough lost but now we have two quarterback's and Riley needs to just pick one. If the Beavers go 0-2 to start the season, some people might question Mike Riley. And starting asking to find a new head coach. Well, remember the game starts tomorrow at 9am on ESPN 2. Let's hope for something good.

Good Morning,

On this last day of August it should feel like summer but this summer hasn't really been here!!! I know alot of people might agree that this years summer was very mild this year. We broke maybe 3 days of 90 degree weather this year. We didn't reach 100 degree's this summer at all and this past July was the wettest to date in history. But this summer has been since Katie and I have been able to do so much with the kids this summer since Katie has started her new job.

Now the summer must come to an end, well it feels like it ended on Monday when the clouds came back and brought some showers. I'm excited for Ryan and Ben this year starting school once again at Rosedale. Benjamin has Ryan's teacher from last year. I so hope Ben doesn't talk at much like last year but I have a feeling it won't stop him. As for Ryan, I haven't meet his teacher yet but we'll see what happens on the first day of school next week. Just think were just under two more years before Amber goes to school.

So the boys go back to school on Tuesday and I'm going to my school to pick up my book the same day. I'm very excited about school this year for me. I have a great schedule and the teacher's are very good plus I'm getting the computer classes I need toward my degree. I haven't officially started with Target yet, but I think I'll get my phone call soon for training. Who knows what will happen today?!!!

Fun weekend

Good morning,

Well, it's been a nice long family vacation this past weekend. Yes, Katie and I went to the casino in Lincoln City and I won $28.95 off the 1 cent slot machine. Yeah, it was funny because this older woman was playing and I asked her if anyone was playing next to her? She replied no, go ahead and play. So I sat down, I put in my one dollar bill and bet 5 line at 1 cent for a grand total of 5 cents. Well, on my first spin the bonus came up, second, third, fourth, and the fifth bonus came up!!!! The machine went off!!!! I won 20 free spins. My 5 cent bet was starting to go up, up, up!!!! I turn to the lady next to me, and said, this it good right? The numbers kept going up again. And then I cashed out my ticket for the $28.95. Not a bad night. Katie won $14.00 on the slots as well. Overall, we won $53.00 and we start with only $20.00.

Good afternoon to all my family and friends,

It's been a great week this week!!!! Well, my job search has finally come to end. I've accepted a position with Target. It's been a long journey since PetSmart stop giving me hours but from that, I did talk to unemployment about my issue with them and it looks like PetSmart will pay me my unemployment since they haven't giving me anything.

It's sad just how messed up the Hillsboro PetSmart store is but I can't slam the other store, since alot of were great to me and they still are. So I'm excited for a great change and Target said, they would be able to work around my school schedule this coming fall.

We went over to my in-laws this week. Katie help her mom, Linda take pictures of some horse's who needed pictures done. It was a great afternoon, the kids got very dirty!!!! But I hope Linda got all the pictures she need for file paperwork. Please be sure to visit the website we have been busy updating. Still work in process but it's looking good. Katie still wants to add a few things but overall I'm very happy with it.

Good morning everyone,

Well, what a cloudy weekend it's been and yesterday the weather man said, chance of morning rain and skies clearing in the afternoon. Well, no rain, clouds are moving, I see sunshine right now. I hear birds singing right now and guess what? The weather stations have no clue what the hell they are talking about!!!!

I'm glad to be finally feeling better now. Two days with 101.0 fever sucked. But can't be sick now since I have my second job interview tomorrow. I did check my aid for school and I have all green lights. Which means I'm good to get my books in September and pay for my classes. Speaking of classes, I think this week Ryan and Ben will find out who they will have as their teachers this year.

Yup, were just under 3 weeks from school starting up on September 6. Ryan will be starting the Second grade this year. Ben will be starting first grade, which means no more half days until Amber goes to school. Now I did read on the Rosedale website that are they going to start full-day Kindergarden this year, so you never know?!!!!

Great news over the weekend, a special congrats to my mother in-law Linda, who rocked it at the Willamette Valley Classic Horse show over the weekend. Her horse Mikey, got two Grand Champion placements, won some drawings as well. Her other horse's showed very well too. Just amazing showing and Linda got alot of people looking at her display since people had sent it from the ad, Katie help make. Again, job well done Linda!!!!!

Well, today has been very lazy. Okay, not my choice thou, Katie gets the "VanFleet headaches" which my father in-law gets them as well and they knock you out. So pretty much Katie is done for the day. What can I do? But say I hate it!!!! Which leaves the rest of the family to do much but fold cloth's, do dishs, and clean floors. I don't mind very much anyways, I have a huge week. Second job interview this coming Tuesday and I'm hoping to hit a home run this week. Plus were only 3 weeks until the kids go back to school. Good morning everyone,

For the record, it's very hard to live off of one income right now. I keep searching for jobs and there are some good leads. Then some leads are a dead end. But Katie and I are still making it. It really sucks living on paycheck to paycheck basis. But I'm hoping once school starts, things will look better for us. I've been busy sell things on craigslist since my eBay account is frozen (I owe $) but nothing I can do now til I have something rolling in. I'm just stressing. I didn't fall asleep til 3am this morning. Which is not healthly for me. Katie knows stress isn't good for my diabetes at all. She worried about me stressing to much.

So with that said, I'll be busy posting comics for sale today online on www.nwcomicsgames.com and posting the list on craigslist too. I've applied to help other people set-up their own website's as a teacher and help people manage them. If you know anyone who needs help, let me know. This is why I'm going back to school in the fall. I guess I'm trying to stay busy without stressing out to much about bills and family. Not working has stressed me out too. But PetSmart hasn't given me anything. Remember I didn't quit. I did talk to Tracy (Katie's cousin) and she's looking to get out as well since it's a mess there. Management has their heads on wrong. Which I'm not shocked by it.

Well, I'm staring the day off with some good news since I've been busy like a bee making wedding dvd's for my stepbrother. But Hillsboro School District called me this morning about working with them for a sub bus driver. Which I'll have an interview in 3 weeks, still it's the best news I got. I did tell them that I'll be going back to school and school would be able to work around things for me. So everyone keep your fingers cross for me.

I didn't get the other job for the after school club but that's okay with me since I keep getting job interviews and I'm just waiting on someone to say yes, lol. But in the mean time if you know anyone who needs help doing work. I'm willing to help out of course. Good morning,

Well, what a great day it was seeing my stepbrother Austin get married yesterday. Yeah, it was a long drive about 245 miles round trip for all of us but it was worth it. I can't speak enough how well the boys did at their frist wedding ever!!! Ryan was a trooper, he even help during the clean up. Which was a surprise to Katie and myself. Amber was the only one who had a small meltdown but she was hot. It was hot, but everyone had a great time.

Ryan, Ben and Amber both the drive down. They were all dressed nice and cool, ready for the warm weather. Gosh, they take really good pictures!!!!

Huge outdoor area for all the wedding guess, I believe over 180 people were there yesterday.

Well, what a crappy summer it's been this year. We've had only 4 days of 80 degree weather and no 90 degree weather this year. I know August is the hottest month for us in Oregon but I'm seriously thinking it's not going to happen this year. Oh well, I'm okay with it. Just think were 38 days from school starting up again. Crazy!!!!

Yup, both boys will be going to Rosedale again this coming fall. There are doing so great there, Katie and I can't wait to see who the boys get as their teachers. Speaking of school, I think I got all my paperwork finished for school this fall. Been keeping everything up to date, so there is no problem come fall term. I got my 4 week computer class back!!!! It's the start for me I need towards my degree.

Hey, August is turning out to be a busy month for Katie and I so far. So if anything is going on please let us know soon. We have birthday party's, horse show, Beach trip and that's the first 3 three weeks in August. Then we have school shopping....AAAHHH!!!!! Job, School, Kids, Family

Good morning,

Well, the last three days has been very busy for me. I met with Aerotek a temp agency who help people find jobs. I went there on Monday was asked if I wanted a position with a company called Huntair. Please note I hadn't talk to Katie in the last three days about things. Yeah, they made me an offer but it had to be now!!!! Take it now or it's gone!!! I felt alot of pressure to take a job that I hadn't really given must thought about.

Was this something I really wanted to do? What about the kids? Not fair to the kids grandparents to watch the kids for three days in row. Would I have enough time for school. Katie was worried that I would get burned out so quick. My back is still hurting at this time. I'm not ready to be back in the warehouse position. So Katie and I talked about it. We sat down and really talked about it. This is want we came up with.

I needed to find something during the week part-time. And when school starts up in the fall in be very focused on school. I can't work a full-time job and school. I'd be to tired and yes if we all forgot I still have something called type 2 diabetes. Which I can just drawn my energy down very fast. I've notice that I'm getting alot more tired sometimes. Plus the kids are not in school but they will be in the next seven weeks. Which then the kids grandparents would have to watch them for 3 long, very long days.
Katie and I don't want to burn them out. They have to much stuff going on at this time.

Overall, Huntair and Aerotek seems like the right job!!!! But this job isn't the right fit for me because the timing isn't right. Katie and I both agree. I have to choose school or full-time work? I've put off going to school for the last two years. It's time for me to go all chips in and focus on school. So what happens next? Well, PCC has jobs part-time job for students. I'm going to enroll in their job fair program in which I can use this to stay close to home.

Be home for my kids and work part-time without burning people out. And still be home to study and pass my classes. Yes, Katie and I know I'll get a little money from to school but it's going to be a tight budget. We know that. Katie needs me to stay here to home and find something job wise closer to home.

Go to school, get a degree!!! Get a real job and enjoy doing it. Build a career!!!!

Good morning all,

Well, I hope everyone had a great weekend. I know we did as a family. Ryan went to a friends birthday party over the weekend and the park is call 53rd Ave Park, which is flipping amazing. Has a huge water system for kids play and get wet. Tennis courts, Basketball courts, Soccer/Football fields. Just super huge and the kids playground is sweet. Funny, Katie and I have live near this place and we never knew about it. Wow, but it's now the kids favorite place for hot summer days.

I keep getting interviews for jobs. I have two this week and who know what will happen next week. I'm still not sure how school and work will coming out at this time. I really what to go back to school but if a job comes up with will pay good money do I take it? And were saying it's a full-time position? Just something to think about. Let's see how things good today. Still it's nice to interview but would like someone to say yes!!!!

Anyone watching the 2011 Home Run Derby. I hate how ESPN runs it. They should have it on Fox so all the fans who don't have cable and enjoy it but nope not going to happen since ESPN is going to run all of sports in the near future. Anyways, if your a huge sports fan like myself, your hoping for the NBA and NFL lockouts to finally come to an end. Thanks heaven we still have college football, can't wait for the new Pac-12. Well, I hate to start my weekend off on the bad start but I didn't get the job with the airplane company which is okay. But nothing I can do about it. I was stressing how I was going to work and go to school in the fall. So as of now PetSmart doesen't have me on a schedule right now. I've asked to be transfered but nothing has happen and I'm not holding my breath at this time. So I've been busy selling comics at this time. I'm stilll looking for a part-time job to work but I don't know if I'll find anything at this time. I can only hope for something better.

The kids are all good. I have them all on the Oregon Health Plan plus a Dentist Plan as well. So I have that end covered!!!! Katie is loving her job and enjoy being there alot. I guess I'm the only one looking for something to do. I'll even take odd jobs if anyone needs help. Email me, let me know. Just trying to stay busy until school starts.

Well, yesterday I spent about 70 minutes on a school schedule that would work for me and still have time to spend time kids and work if I found a better part-time job. So here is what I'm taking:

WR-93 Writing

MTH-20 Math

PE-181A Beg. Weight Training

DE-21 Intro to Information Literacy

CAS-106 Intro to X/HMTL aka Computer class

RD-80 Reading

Yup, it's the full schedule... 13 credits but I had to do something to stay fit and why not a weight training class. I try to get into a basketball class but the schedule wouldn't work for me. Next term I guess. Then I'm taking a computer class on Friday for like 3 hours but this is a great step for me to understand the basic computer skills I need for me degree. So Monday, Wednesday and Friday I'm done with school by 12:30pm and then on Tuesday and Thursday I'm done with school by 2pm. So I can still pick up the kids. It's a good win for everyone.

I hope everyone is enjoying the nice Oregon weather right now until the rain comes back later on this week. So Katie and I got some great work done over the weekend. We both cleaned the garage out with the kids help of course. I think I made 3 or 4 trips to Goodwill, just cleaning house. Yeah, when people tell you how amazing it is on how much stuff you get. Yeah.....

I'm still looking for another part-time job away from PetSmart. Yeah, I did ask for a transfer back to the other store but who knows how fast it's going to take. I feel the chains just hold me down and the store is nice but I'm realizing that this job is for a younger person and someone who wants to be there. I went there for more hours and again it's the same story.... Hours!!!! I can't do it anymore. I want to work but working 10 in a 40 hour week doesn't help me out. I hope something will happen soon. Good Morning,

Well, the first day of summer was amazing yesterday!!! Little on the hot side but it was so nice to have blue skies. The early morning sunrise was very beautiful I forgot sometimes how nice summer mornings can be. Anyways, I stopped off at PCC Rock Creek yesterday to talk to school advisor about classes and anything else I need to do.

I was to late to start summer classes but all my fall classes are good to go. Yes, I'll be a full-time students talking 12 credits. I'm starting from the bottom and working my way up to the top. It's going to be a long road but in the end if it means a better job for me and some better for my family then it will be worth all the hard work.

Update on the Northwest Comics and Games Websites. The main page which introduces to the company has little under 2000 hits, www.nwcomicsgames.com which I'm really impressed it's doing good but I need to do more with it.

Second is the daily site www.northwestcomicsgames.com has almost 8000 hits and it's going up everyday. I'm very happy with it. The facebook page is doing well and I'm very happy with it. I'm not to happy with the twitter page. I just never seem to use it as much. So I need to choice to keep it or delete it. Overall, I'm very happy with everything so far.

Sad news but good news still

Well, I got a call from CRS who help get my the job at Vistar. They told me today that my services was no longer needed at Vistar, which was okay with me, but yeah I'm a little upset..... The lady Jackie was sad to tell me but it's her job and that's understood.

I guess it was a trial run....

Hey, I still have PetSmart.....

Which I'll be back with them next week but I'll continue my search for a better job. Until then back to PetSmart but in other news I've been appoved by FAFSA to go back to school and get my degree in website design. Which Katie supports me very much in my choice. Still trying to do something better for me and my family.

Good Evening everyone,

Well, first off I would like to announce that I'm leaving PetSmart. This was in the works for me for a very long time. I've taken a job with Vistar which you see more of them at www.vistar.com it's a warehouse job which I've missed working in since I left Columbia almost two years ago. It's a fun place for me to be at, nice people there. My position is titled Lumper. A lumper is someone who unloads incoming truck off the dock. Plus it's a great workout for me. I still have alot to learn but it's a job with better pay and good hours.

So new job is great but a career is something I still want as well too. So Katie and I have been talking about me really getting ay ass into gear and go get a two year degree in web design. I've talked about going back to school for a long time and maybe this might be the right time. Funny timing because Wells Fargo Education Financial has approved me for a student loan and from what my dad has told me, I can apply for funds to help the family while I'm in school. So I have alot to think about.

Next, Ryan and Ben are finally done with school for the year!!!!!! You have no idea how much this means to Katie and I. No more picking the boys up for half days anymore!!!! Boys will be in school full-time next year. I can't believe it, Ryan will be a second grader and Ben will be a first grader. As for Amber we still have two more years. The boys did great this year and they enjoy Rosedale. It's a great school and hats off to the teachers there, what a great job they do. Ryan was in a title one reading program this year and boy it helped Ryan out so much in reading this year.

Last thing, I promise this summer to update this site a little bit more this year. I've been so busy working on my other websites. Sometimes I just forget but we get busy. I'll have some cool things posted later this summer. Have a good one. =)

Good evening everyone,

Let me just say it's so nice to finally have the sun out today!!! No rain and it's about time the warmer weather acts like summer. But then again it's Oregon and what can you say. So what's happening right now in the Hansen house? Well, I've been busy applying for new full-time jobs right now and I'm hoping something good will happen. Then again this is Oregon and you never know, lol.

I'm so happy that this is the boys last week of school. You have no idea how much this means to Katie and I. Means next year Ryan and Ben will both be in school full-time. So much joy!!!! It's funny I ran into my brother in-law, Aaron with the family at Fred Meyer once again. Funny because Jadah would run into Robert Cheeke at Fred Meyer in Corvallis and up in the Portland area. Yeah, what a small world it is.

Back to my school thought.... Benjamin is so counting down the days until school is done. From what Katie said, he didn't want to get dress this morning. But this coming Friday at Rosedale your all welcome to come watch Ben's class in their Kindergarten Completion Ceremony at 9:45am. Ben can hardly wait til the end of school. Well, good afternoon,

I hope everyone had a great weekend!!!! It's Monday and I have a few things on my mind today. As we all know the world didn't end...... And for all the stupid people like this mom over on the east coast killed her own 6 year son, dump thinking!!!! Or a guy living in New York spent $100k of his own money to buy 4x4 posters saying this is it. Yeah, try asking for your money back and then we have the scammers. I won't even touch that.

Sad news on Friday that the Macho Man Randy Savage was killed while driving his car. Seems he had a heart attack. Very sad to hear I hope to see him in the WWE Hall of Fame someday. I was thinking about one of his best feuds he had? The one I like is when he took on DDP in the WCW days. The feud lasted 7 months but it was very personal. See for yourself on www.youtube.com

So much joy right now, the boys have only 3 weeks of school left. Oh I can hardly wait. It will be so nice not to pick up kids twice a day. Next fall both boys will be in school full-time. Katie and I are like about time. Which will open the doors for me to find a better job with full hours. Let the search begin!!!! Again!!!

Well, just to let everyone know Ben had a great birthday this past Wednesday. Can't believe his already 6 years old now. Oh Mr. Ben!!!! Katie and I made brthday gift bags for Ben's classmates. I dropped Katie and Amber off at the farm so they could go see some horses. Once Ryan was done with school I took them to Wunderland Video Games in Beaverton and the boys had a blast, we were there for two hours!!!! Got home, saw a package from his grandpa. Made Ben's day!!!! After picking up Katie and Amber from kids grandma's house we got Ben's favorite meal a cheese pizza. What a great day!!!!!

Good morning family and friends,

Well, it's Saturday which means free comic book day!!! It's the first weekend in May when all the comic book stores do a free promotion of giving away free comics to anyone. Each store is different but it's a fun event for kids and adults.

Katie is loving ner new job at Frontier Vet. Hospital. The hours are good and less stressful there since she doesn't have to deal with a crazy boss. I'm glad Katie is happy. As for me, PetSmart tells me one thing and changes there minds again. I'm so sick of this place. Yeah, they give me 27 hours one week and the next 13 hour the next week. How can I support a family?!!!

I'm business looking for something else right now with better pay and better hours. Were almost done with school for the year and that means more time for me will open up. In the mean time, I'm trying to lock up a loan to help get Northwest Comics and Games up more and running. Good morning,

Well, today is Katie's last day at Hillsboro Vet. Clinic. After spending over 11 years there it's time for Katie to move on in her career. Which is great for Katie. She's joining Frontier Vet. Hospital in Hillsboro. Which will have more options for her down the road. I personally think this is the right step for Katie and is opens the doors for her vet career. She loves want she does and a new place is a step of fresh air.

Did anyone see the Royal Wedding at Friday morning 1am? I didn't but I'm just amazed how much coverage the news stations cover this wedding. After seeing highlights yesterday the crowds just love the Prince William and Princess Kate. Congrats to them both.

Well, the Portland Trailblazers season came to an end on Thursday when the Dallas won the series 4-2 and is moving on to face the Lakers. I was listing to 95.5 the game on the radio and the question was how would you grade the Blazers season? Here is how I would grade them.

- Offense: C (Scoring was good at times but no one really attacked the basket).

- Defense: C (Lack D hurt the Blazers win key games).

- Regular Season Play: B (Won 48 games).

- Blazer Bench: D (Oh please, the bench scoring sucked).

- Coaching: C (Nate needs to run and gun it sometimes).

- Overall Season: C+ (Need to have focus to make it out of the first round of the playoffs).

This offseason, they need to find a point guard!!!! Miller is great but he's getting old. Huge question is Greg Oden, will he come back? Camby is getting old too. Will Roy start next season? Need to improve the bench play. Who do you get during the summer time?

We had a veru fun Easter Sunday visiting my dad and tessa yesterday. Kids got to search for eggs and we all had a great dinner. It's great for us to get out of town sometimes since we get to busy. Hope everyone is having a good day so far. Been a little busy the last few days. Update on Oscar the family cat. Oscar kitty, is doing much better now, he's alive!!!! Katie and I really thought he had a stroke or something worst, we both were crying but were glad now to have Oscar back home, just being a lazy old man.

Speaking of good news, Katie is leaving Hillsboro Vet. Clinic. This was a plan in the works for a very long time. Katie has learned everything she can there and it's time for her to move on now. Katie will start working for Frontier Vet. Hospital beginning of May. She's so happy and I'm very proud of her taking on a new adventure in her career.

Well, I've gotten word that my review is finally in at PetSmart and I'm hoping for a good review from them. I don't mind getting up so early in the mornings, we have a good truck team. I'm hoping this will open the doors for something better down the road. I'm still always looking for something better since I would like to go back to work full-time soon. I'm just counting down the weeks until summer break starts.

So I was searching for comics to bid on ebay a few days ago and I came across Spawn #150 Sketch cover, which is very rare to find these days. So I posted the comic with a starting bid of $.99 which I've been done the last few weeks.

The last 6 days the bid on the comic was at $12.50 which you know I'm okay with that bid but on the last day with 3 hours to go.... That $12.50 bid jumped to $25.00, then $30, and then I had Katie come into the office to see the bid had gone to $41. Wow, I couldn't belive it. With 30 minutes left on the bid, I watch the bidding war happen until the clock ran to zero. Final bid on Spawn #150 Rare Sketch Cover issue $61.00.

Good morning,

Well, this morning I start the day with some sad news. I was making coffee this morning and I notice Oscar laying down in front of the washing machine. I called for him and he didn't move. I called for him again and still he didn't move. I went to turn on the light and I personally thought Oscar passed away on the floor. That wasn't the case, he was still alive!!! I quickly went to wake up Katie. Telling her something is wrong with Oscar.

She came over to Oscar who was bobbing his head up and down. Making a small noise but still Oscar didn't move or do anything. It was hard seeing Oscar in his current state. Katie and both started to tear up alittle since this was Katie's first cat she ever had. Everyone loves Oscar, he's very well known kitty with family members and friends.

We wrapped Oscar up in a blanket and Katie took him to work to get a better idea with wahts' happening with him. I did call a few minutes ago and Oscar has a very high fever right now. I think they are going to take x-rays soon. We all love Oscar kitty. I'll keep everyone updated.

Finally nice to be back writing random things. I've taking a few days off this page to focus on the comic book site, which is doing very well right now and please check out the eBay store I have linked to it as well. Okay, enough about comics!!!!

- Ryan, really wants to do a family game night with family members. Ben, wants to family movie night and include other family members to join. Katie would like to do more craft stuff with family. - Special congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Locey (Brett & Kelly) they are having their first baby. Due in September. Very happy for the both of you.

- Oh yeah, April 3 is the WrestleMania 27 pay-per-view party. Having old high school friends come over and watch some WWE wrestling. Just a fun event to watch and have some fun. I can't wait.

- Work at PetSmart is going good right now. I'm trying to get things down since it's alot different from working in the hotel. Kevin my boss is very cool guy. Have a young group of people working there and please come see me for all your pets needs.

- Benjamin will be showing his horse May 14 at the VFM Horse Show. Ben is doing good, he's wants to show or show off for the girls, lol. Katie is happy that Ben wants to show his horse this year. Ryan didn't want to do it this year since he wants to draw....whatever!!! As for Amber showing a horse......
yeah, I think Ben will do just fine.

But just another great day in Oregon. Holy smokes where do I begin? Congrats to my Assistant Coach Eric Brown for getting engaged to his long time girl-friend Stephanie. Eric will be getting married August 20th of this year. With long time friends and former high school buddy Josh Seitz as his best man. I can't wait for this wedding.

Wow, can't believe the damage from the Japan quake. Totally unbelieve to see all the water coming in and wiping everything out. Amazing how mother nature works sometimes. Makes you think about life here and how easy one event can change everything. Just makes you think.....

Northwest Comics and Games is doing very well right now. The home site has over 639 views and the main page has over 5405 views as of this morning. Simply amazing and things are selling on ebay but it's a buyer's market out there right now but I'm very happy with things. I did anounce yesterday that my cousin Everett will be doing weekly video game review every Friday. I'm very happy to have him come aboard.

Well, I'm loving working mornings at the Hillsboro PetSmart Store. It goes so fast for me and from what I can tell everyone who I've met has been at this store for six months. Kevin is the road boss, very cool guy who just wants a good truck team to work. We did talk about the future down the road. Seems like I'm going to be the core to help building a good team of people to bring this store back on it's feet. I'm looking forward to this, since this might help me move up in the company. But one step at a time!!!

Well, Congrats to Tracy and her boyfriend Eric, who got engaged over the weekend. But I have a problem with something. Tracy's boyfriend didn't ask Tracy's father for permission. Should he had ask him? Think younger guys should be raised to ask. It's a classy way and it's very nice thing to do. You don't want or future father in-law not to be mad at you. I remember asking Katie's father Gerald. I was in his shop, which I was a little scared but just asking permission to marry his daughter. I think of it as old school. I'm glad Gerald said yes. Look at us now, almost eight years later. Wow.

Well, I hope everyone had a great three day weekend. Now we have a short week, which is very nice for some of us. I have some news this morning, I believe this might be my last week at the PetSmart Hotel. The offical word I have heard is that transfer is going to happen soon. Just waiting on paperwork so I can start working that the PetSmart Store in Hillsboro. I'm very excited that I'm going there, since I have a chance to move up within the store.

Yes, were on track for this Sunday's 30.3 Birthday Party for Katie and Amber!!! I spent yesterday cleaning the kitchen and holy smokes it's amazing how dirty kitchens can get. Were having the cats and the dog go to Katie's work for the weekend. So no pets in the house.

As for presents for Katie? Well, gift cards, or something more personal to her is great. Amber....think spring time, Easter dress, pants, shirts. I know there are alot of girl cloths out there. I'll see everyone this Sunday start at 2pm. Yes, we'll have a full house, alot of people have been invited.

Good morning everyone,

Well, I'm going to start this morning on a sad note. I did receive a call from West Coast Bank for the Teller position I interviews for two weeks ago. I'll be brief but I didn't get the position. Which is okay, I've never worked at a bank before and I understand there were more out there who knew more than me. But still getting an interview was fun and lots to take away from this.

Now in a twist of fate. I talk to my boss Dave in the PetSmart Hotel and asked about moving up and more hours. Well, we don't have the hours at the Hotel right now because things are slow and we don't see business picking up until spring break. So Dave made a call over the to the PetSmart store in Hillsboro about having me go over there to pick extra hours. Now I'm not leaving the Hotel but the Hillsboro store has the hours and need people to work, who knows it could turn into something full-time.

I've been busy alot with ebay.com selling comics. It's a buyers market out there and making deals talking up hype is fun. I did find a program to sell my comics on my http://www.nwcomicsgames.com/ website. I can use Paypal and take credit cards. That way I'm not paying a fee every time I used ebay. I've shipped over 10 books since the start of Febraury. Not bad but than having to pay ebay fees and paypal fees. I'm breaking even right now. Again, it's a start and saving all my shipping recipes with help next tax season.

Well, yesterday was our first zoo trip for 2011. It was very fun and we had a very special surprise for the kids. Well, I haven't heard anything back from my job interview last week. I did go to the web page and the job has been taken down. So I'm hoping, just hoping that I might get this job. This is me on Wednesday at 4:30 in the afternoon on I-5 just about 5 miles south of Wilsonville. Traffic was so backed up because a semi truck rolled over north of the 205 exit. I finally got home Wednesday night at 7pm. I should've taken the back roads.

Good morning,

What a night or morning!!!! Couldn't sleep at all last night. Ben was fighting a 101.4 temp and Ryan's right ear was hurting him. So I think I finally fell alseep around 12 midnight, a few hours later Ryan woke me up saying his ear was hurting. Well, I did what every father should do, just cut it off. JOKING!!!! No. I got dressed, as well Ryan did and made a trip to the ER in Hillsboro.

We got checked in and told the nurse what was happening. She took a good look at Ryan's ear but there was so much max in his ear, it was hard to tell. So they had to put some liquid in his ear to clean it out and wash it out with water. (Here is a picture of Ryan after the drops in his ear, so sad.) But they also cleaned out his other ear as well. I mean, might as well!!! After being there for a couple of hours we finally came home around 6am this morning.

Ryan was a good trooper as the nurse washed out his ear but it did hurt him a little and the docter was able to see that he does have an ear infection. Ryan has meds now and resting at home. I think he'll sleep here soon since he's been up for a very long time.

Hello there,

Way to start February off on a good start with a cold and windy day up here. Hey, at least were not in the midwest were the snow is coming down big time. Anyways, things are good here right now. Katie and I are busy fixing the house again, new paint will be going into the boys room as well new carpet soon. Plus some minor details to fix (more paint) and once the weather warms up, we'll start clearing out the backyard.

Speaking of February comes two special birthdays. Yup, Amber is going to be 3, hard to believe!!! She's doing great, we got her potty trained and no more diapers!!! I'm very proud of Amber. Amber is a total little diva around the house. I hate to say it but she has dad's attitude as well. Man, I'm in trouble now. I thought the boys could be bad....nope Amber is the worst sometimes. Can't wait until she is a teenager.

Katie is going to be 30 this month as well. So what does she want? Well, Katie has been busy looking for a sewing table. She wants gift cards so she can go shopping for new cloths, new shoes, etc. You only turn 30 once, so let's make their party the best.

Oh man, we finally got the new bumper for the ford last week. If you remember the starter on the car stopped working and we had to buy a new one. As well, new brakes for the car too. So the guy who was working on the car, forgot to air out the breaks and the car rolled off the lift and hit another lift. Damaging the bumper, so ford replace the bumper for free, no charge. It's looks good.....Finally.

- Superbowl 45 in one week, who do you like Steelers or Packers? I like both teams in this match-up but I'm going with my gut in this game. Packers going home sad.

- How about top-ranked Corvallis Spartans (16-0, 7-0) have a two-game lead over Silverton (11-5, 5-2) at the halfway point of the conference season. CHS travels to Woodburn on Friday.

- So do you think gas will jump to $4 at summer time?

- Chad Johnson is making a comeback. Three years after changing his last name to Ochocinco, the man born Chad Javon Johnson will be going back to his given surname.

- Northwest Comics and Games website has over 4700 hits now and just posted it 500th post. Starting to finally sell some on ebay.com but still slow moving.

Bad & Good

Good morning,

Well, this past Monday was the worst day for me. The new dvd player blow out, got my hours cut at work, and I also lost my $37.00 gift card from Target for the blown out dvd player. I was stressed and unhappy. So yesterday things finally turned around for me....

The morning started off fine, I got a call from a job I'd applied for online, which was like okay. They would call me back for a interview next week. So I went to work at PetSmart and the being back there things went great. So I'm taking my break and saw a new message on my phone. Another company called me about a job. Which I did set-up an interview with them in first week in February.

To end my day, my co-worker came into the playroom where the dogs play. Said, "Guess what?" I'm like yes? She found my Target gift card!!!! Wow, what a great day. Things have finally turned my way. I'm very happy for myself. I don't want to tell everyone who I'm talking to (jobs wise) yet. Not until the Feb. 3 with that one interview. I'll have more details later.

Well, I've offically asked to transfer out of the PetsHotel because I'm not geting enough hours there. Barely working 15 hours each week doesn't help and I think working for the store would be alot nicer for me. Don't get me wrong but I like playing with all the dogs and staff there is great but I need more hours for my family. I need to pay bills but I don't think Dave the Hotel manager really gets it. Nothing I can say or do to help him understand. So I guess a transfer to another store would be nice. Change things up a bit for me and you change is good to have. Learn that lesson along time ago at Oregon State.

I'm so flippin glad the week has finally come to end. Things started off great Katie took a little bit of money out of her IRA to help pay off some medical bills for me and the kids. Which was goind to be great until this past Wednesday the car wouldn't start. So here is Katie stuck at Fred's with the kids. I happen to hear my phone ring at work and pick it up.

I run down there to see what I can do the engine isn't starting and at first I thought it was the battery but it was the starter. So we had to tow the car to ford dealership, which they replace the starter on the car and why not..replace the brakes. I was going to do it anyways but it was a safety issue. Once I saw the pad I was glad I got them replaced. BUT!!!! The guy who was working on the car forgot the bump the breaks and the car rolled off the lift, hit another lift system.

Doing major damage to the rear bumper, which Ford is going to replace with no charge. What was a very long since I was up at 3am stressing about things. Katie knows to just leave me alone and let me watch tv with the cats. I'm just glad everything is done and all the money we were going to use on bills has paid for the car.

Last night ended on a good note, we went to Out of this World Pizza as part of the Rosedale fundraiser, which was a blast!!! Great to see teacher's there and hang out with parents. Good award for the boys for all the work they do in school. Yes, Amber had a blast playing too. Kids were very happy to have pizza and play.

First post of 2011

Good morning,

I can't believe this is my first new post of 2011 and I've been a little lazy but not to much. Great to finally have this kids back in school this week and for me back to work!!! I've missed working there, good group of people there but I'm happy I have a job. Job search 2011 will start after tax season is done (mid-April). I'll be looking for something in the mornings between 6am to 2pm M-F. You know the kids are getting bigger and they are starting to talk about doing sports. Plus I'm making about $225.00 a week, then take health insurance out and taxes, so Katie asked if I could find something that make between $700 - $800 every two weeks and then we would finally be a head for the first time in a long time. Who knows what will happen but all I can do is try.

This year Katie and I have chosen to update the car with new tires, new breaks, and new shocks this tax season. Well, after careful thinking we need are cars to run and to get to work every week. Katie's car is all paid off so why not give it some love. It's a good car and plus we all like. I'll just be happy once the other car is all paid off or we trade is in for something smaller. Wishful thinking right?!!! But this tax season were going to save money this year. Last year all the money we saved, we had to use because I was out of work. Plus we came real close to losing the house last year. But things are finally starting to look up this year....Yeah!!!!

This year house projects, were going to finish up the last details from last year. Trim around the doors, finish up painting in the office and were thinking about moving the office to garage and redoing the garage. Making it more a fun place and giving Amber here own room in the house. But it will take some planning but I have a few idea's in mind. Speaking of planning Katie's and Amber Birthday is coming up soon. Were having a party on Feb 27 for the both of them which is called 30.3 birthday party. Good morning family and friends,

I'm so glad 2010 is coming to an end tonight. This year has been and huge pain in the butt. Putting this year behind me means a lot to me. Having not to work for almost 7 weeks and came close to losing the house because I wasn't working. Find a good job at PetSmart was a good highlight. The last two months have not been great with me blowing out my back in November and this last weekend, me re-injuring my calf muscle again. What a wild and crazy ride.

Speaking of ride, that's the way the OSU footballs felt this year. Going 5-7 this year and not making a bowl game this season. Then having the Oregon Ducks go to the National Championship game this year. I think the future is bright for us next season as the Pac-12 will start. We'll have James Roger's back this fall and I think we can make a good run for the Pac-12 title. But the offense needs to improve alot (Brett I'll wait for comments).

One thing I very proud of this year, we got alot of house projects done this year. Got the new wood floors in this past winter. Which I need to give very special thanks to my brother in-law Jeremy. Thanks for helping and going beyond the call of duty. And thanks to my dad for helping me take down the back deck and help adding the new front porch to the house this summer. I think is workout very well for us. Still have a few things we need to do this coming spring, paint and finish trim in the house. Then focus on the front and back yard this 2011 year.

I'm very surprised to see that over 4200 hits on my Northwest Comics and Games page is doing very well and I'm looking to do more later this year. Comic Book business is fun and just knowing people are reading it each and every week means alot to me. Speaking of glad....The boys are loving school and I'm very proud of them. Can't wait in three more years all the kids will be in school.

Good morning,

Well, I hope everyone had a great Christmas weekend!!!! I know we had a great time seeing everyone this weekend. I worked eight days straight before taking Sunday off but I have some sad news. Over the weekend I re-injured my right calf muscle again. I was trying to break up a dog fight in camp.

Just another freak accident but what can I do?..... I have no clue what my boss Dave will say or if he'll cut my hours or I might work out in the store more but all I know is that I need a desk job for awhile now. Or I need a body cast, since this whole year has been full of injuries. I'm hoping 2011 will be better for me job wise and small business wise a too.

I'm very happy how my comic book website is doing. Over 4200 hits!!!! I'm very proud of it and I'm still working on new stuff, when I'm not in pain. Speaking of hits, the Christmas presents the kids got this year are great and thank you everyone. The kids had a great Christmas!!!!

So I'm home for the next two days to do nothing but rest my leg and then back to work on Wednesday. It's nice to sleep in the mornings and not have to get the boys and rush off to school. The boys are like their mother now who enjoy sleeping in each morning. Once Spring time comes and the sun is out, getting up will easy for them.

I have some good news, with all my injuries this year and trying to workout it's been very tough without hurting myself again. But I got my weight check, my lowest was 277 pounds and on Sunday my weight was 281 pounds. So I'm doing very good and I'm proud of myself. My goal now is to drop another 30 pounds before summer.

I know it will be tough but I'll do my best. Once I get the garage clean out again I'll have room to workout. I do like the wii since it has a work mode. Katie and I are looking for to buying the wii fitness system to help us stay in shape during the winter times.

Well, were just under a week away from Christmas and I think we have all the shopping done, lol. Right, I wish we had all the shopping done for the kids. Still have some Christmas plan up in the air. I broke the news to Katie that I'll be working Christmas Eve and Christmas Day this year. First time in eight years I've had to work those days.

Ryan is doing much better now and I got his report card from his teacher this week. I was very surprised on how good Ryan was doing and I'm very proud of him. Ryan puts out are great effort in school and very well liked with his classmates and teachers. As for Benjamin, well he talks alot in class from what his teacher says but he's a topical 5 year old who has to go, go, go..... But overall Ben is doing well, still have to work on a few things but he'll get there.

Oh Katie ha now gotten me to play CityVille on Facebook. Which did you know Facebook CEO was named Time's person of the year. If your on FB please check out my Northwest Comics and Games page which has links to my other sites. I'm trying to get more people to view my site. I'm thinking about posting ads on craigslist to rant about it.

Tomorrow is the Rosedale Winter Concert. Which I'm glad the kids told us about it. They come home after school and want to play, watch tv, games etc. Katie and I ask them if there is anything we need to see and the answer is always no. Until we check the backpacks and see that something is going on. Soon Ryan's class and Ben's class willing be singing christmas songs at 10:30am this friday. I'll be there with the camera to take pictures and I'll post video here and on facebook.

Good morning,

Holy smokes Batman!!! The rain was coing down yesterday!!! We got about almost 2 inches of rain and much more to come today. Another huge super storm with is coming this afternoon so please drive safe this weekend.

- Ryan is starting to do better now but were not taking any chance's this week. We did keep him home so he can get better. He'll be able to finally go back to school next Monday.

- My comic book business, is doing very well right now. Have over 4000 hits and it's going up!!! I did change the website address http://www.northwestcomicsgames.com/ but same old site, just new name. Which I have to print up new business cards.

- Well, I'm going to finally talk about the Beavers Football season. We had the 6th toughest schedule in the nation and we did play 5 team in the top 10 this season. With Ryan Katz and soph. QB and losing James Rogers. What a ride for Beaver fans but have no fear....the Pac-12 schedule can favor us next season. But for now we'll just wait for spring ball in 2011.

Happy Saturday morning to everyone,

Well, it's gameday at Oregon State today as the OSU Beavers face Oregon Ducks. In the 114th Civil War game in Corvallis. ESPN College Gameday was live from Corvallis this morning. And OSU fans and Ducks were all out in full force in the freezing cold but a good showing from both sides this morning. Should be a great game to watch but I'll working this afternoon. It's okay, I'm a little down I'll miss the second half of the game but I know the Beavs will put up a good fight.

Update on Ryan. He has pneumonia, he get a big nasty shot, he is taking augmentin..... As for a party for his birthday this year?! Well, after talking about and we made a choice about Ryan party plans. Katie and I know Ryan can't fully recover in time for his birthday. Pneumonia takes time and so were not going to have a party for Ryan this year. Still to sick and we don't want anyone else to catch it. Bad enough we have a small house and two other kids.

Ryan needs rest.... As for school? That still up in the air but we'll be back to his doctor's soon to get a status update sometime next week. Your all welcome to drop off gifts for Ryan or mail them as well for his birthday. Ryan might be feeling good but he's still sick and we need him better for Christmas this year. Hey.....

What a very long night it's been for Katie and myself. Well, the kids have allo been under the weather and winter season isn't helping much. I miss spring and summer already but anyways.... So last night was a good night, kids and I watched Star Trek. Had some dinner and nothing to special else going on. But Ryan was asleep at 7pm. What?!!! Yeah, it was weird. Well, I thought I'd better check to see if Ryan is feeling okay so I went over to see him on the couch and he was warm. I called for Katie to come over and check him too, just to comfirm he was warm. Katie says we need to take his temp.... Ryan had 104.7 temp!!!!!

Oh my Katie said. Not good for almost 7 year old. Ryan was not feeling to good. Katie ran out late that night to get some meds since we were out. We got Ryan changed out of school cloths and into some pj's but Ryan was going in and out, so Katie stayed up with him til 12am this morning. I woke up at 3:30am to be with Ryan, at that time Ryan's temp went back up once again topping at 103.9. So I stayed up with him watch early morning cartoons. So finally at 6:30 this morning I check his temp once again and thankfully it's now gone down to 100.3.

What long night it's been for the us.

November to Remember

Last day of November!!! Tomorrow we start the 25 days of Christmas countdown!!!! Yeah!!! But first I need to to be thankful for a few things:

- My wife and kids, who are a great joy in my life. Even with tough times were strong together and that means more than anything else. I know things have been very tough this but it will get better I promise.

- My parents, I have to thank both of them for help me out during these tough times and the support they have giving me for my small business http://www.nwcomicsgames.com/ Thanks mom and dad, it means alot to me have you both in my life.

- Family, it's great to have my sister up here and my cousin closer in Portland, finally. But more family events guys. Plus Katie and I would like to see more of everyone since we work like crazy. Door is always open.

- PetSmart, yes I'm very thankful for working at a very cool place, when I hit bottom earlier this year. They were willing to give me a chance.

- My in-laws, Linda and Gerald. For helping Katie and I watch the kids alot. Kids love you very much and soon Amber will be the last one. Plus it will be great to have the both the boys in school full-time next year.

- Friends, special thanks to all my friends: Robert, Brett, Eric, Dave, Adam. Thanks everyone for support and great talking sports on a daily basis.

Good morning,

Well, winterstorm watch 2010 is going crazy up here right now.

Yes, it was very cool this morning and roads were a little icy but it looks erally wet out there. Then again it could in a couple of hours. They are calling for snow around 1pm today, between 1-3 inches of snow. Right!!! If your in the foot hills or up higher but I don't think any major like last year will happen. You remember how crazy it was when the snow came and shut down all of the Portland-Metro area.

Speaking if winterstorm watch!!! Katie got word that two people she works with are leaving to go to another clinic. Which Katie has been looking for a new job but I think she was a little upset yesterday to here this news. She's doing better now but I understand Katie feelings about leave her current job and finding something better for herself.

I know the doctor means well, but there are issue's there and Katie feels it's time to move on but she's still looking. It will just take sometime until something better will come up. The same can be said for myself. I just can't wait for this year to come to an end.

Beaver fans... What a great game it was Saturday night was we beat the USC in Covrallis 36 to 7. What a great game, sad we won't play them again, at home until 2013 under the Pac-12 schedule. Okay, we now control if we go to a bowl game this year!!! Good luck on the road, we'll all be watching.

Some other things:

- Yes, we finally have Thanksgiving plans...We'll be at the in-laws on turkey day.

- No plans yet for Ryan's Birthday.

- Christmas plans with family members almost confirmed Dec.24 and 26.

Good afternoon,

Well, yesterday was my first day back to work since I hurt my back last Wednesday. I was in pain, alot of it came from my right leg. I've been resting so much and relaxing my muscles that yesterday at work my leg was killing me. Just a sharp pain and I would work a little, sit down, work some more and then sit down again. I knew I wasn't my old self, if I had to guess right now. My back is like at 35% as of today. But it was nice to be back at work. Thank heaven I have health insurance to cover the cost of the bills.

Anyways, I'm still looking to find a full-time job, maybe a desk job, lol. But my other job Northwest Comics and Games is doing very well. So far 75 people have viewed http://www.nwcomicsgames.com/ and as of today over 3446 have viewed http://www.northwest-comics.com/ holy smokes and you believe it. I'm very impressed by the numbers. I still to sell more comics but I'm also looking for Magic cards, and other gaming cards. I'm hoping once I do the taxes I'll get something back this year. Then I can invest mor into the company.

Oh Beaver fans, it's very tough to live in Corvallis right now. Beaver football is 4-5 this season and having Washington State come to Corvallis and beat us, beat us at home. Not a good thing happening. I think Mike Riley needs to chance his defensive plan and offensive plan as well. We need someone who has that Chip Kelly type of mind to keep the offense moving. Where in the hell is the defense??? Look at Oregon they are doing everything right. It's more faster and newer way of playing football but the current system Riley has is to slow. I think with the new Pac-12 schedule coming, Beavs could have the best record to win the Pac-12 title next season. I guess being a beaver fan, it's hurts seeing a team rise so far and this season taking a huge hit.

Good morning family and friends,

Well, if you haven't heard yet. My back went out Wednesday morning. I was walking to the kitchen, when I coughed so hard my legs just gave out and my lower back was in pain. I was able to get to the couch but I was in so much pain, I couldn't even move. Katie was like, "what can I do, can you move at all?" I told Katie to dial 911. I knew I needed help moving, I was stuck.

So after calling 911 and a few minutes waiting a ambulance showed up. They were very nice people to help load me on the stretcher. I was no shape to mover all. Katie dropped the boys off at school, they knew dad need some help and the doctors would help me. Amber in the other hand, just started crying because she didn't know where I was going. Well, I ended up at Tuality Hospital.

I was unloaded from the ambulance and moved to a E.R. room, where I was still in a world of hurt but I got some great drugs. The doctor was noticing my back had really bad spams. I had muscle relaxer to help cause less stress on my back. After a while Katie and Amber show up at the Hospital to check in with me, see what's happening.

I was already sleepy after I had some good drugs in me. The nurse was using the bed to help strech my muscle's, since they were very tight. Katie and Amber left me go get Ben from school and I was very loopy from the drugs. After a few more hours I was able to finally get on my feet and walk. From 6:55 am to 1:30pm I was on my back for a long period of time. I able to walk out the back doors and meet Katie for the ride home.

Oh I was in heaven, little loopy but I was on cloud nine!!! So since being home I've done nothing but heat pack on my back and taking my pills to reduce the spams and stress on my back. I'll be checking in with my doctor soon. See how my back is doing but I have to give it time. As we all know this isn't the first time I've had back problems. I'll be fine, I've talk to work and I'll had to just take it easy. I'm glad I have to day off today.

Hope everyone is enjoy their Sunday morning. Cloudy over here but no rain right now. So have lots to talk about now. First off, on the bottom of this page there is a counter of number of people who have visit this site to see what's happening. So far over this page has been viewed over 800 times since I've started it. Wow, that's amazing!!! I just need to thank everyone for reading this page.

I've also done the same thing for the http://www.northwest-comics.com/ to see how many people have seen my comic book site. Well, over 3000 people has seen my site. Damn!!!! That's means alot of people are reading what I write. That's something I'm very proud of right now. I've changed a few things on it for any one to see.

http://www.nwcomicsgames.com/ is now the new home page I've done which link to my main website I use. I did sell some comic this week and turned it around and I bought 150 comics for $40. Which means I need more long boxe, bags, and boards. Yeah, things are slow but I'm build good relationships with other stores and with the website's doing great I know this business will go far.

Oh man, the water heater went out this weekend. Not fun at the Hansen house. I'm very thankful for my dad able to help me make sure I didn't need to replace the whole thing, which would've cost us $226. One of the wires was shot and just a simple trip to my father in-laws house for some wire. We were good to go once again and have hot water. Yeah!!!!

I'm so proud of Katie!!! She made homemade salsa yesterday. Which was really good but Katie wants to change a few things but I think were almost ready for canning soon. She's even thinking of more things we can "Can" for later. Still, I'm just very impressed on what she did. She's full of surprise's still. Just shows what you can do with a few dollars.

Good morning everyone,

What a wet and cold morning it is here in the Portland-metro area. Katie is off to work this morning and I have the kids until I have to work this afternoon. She planning on taking the kids out to trick or treat downtown this afternoon in Hillsboro. I'll have pictures up by Monday for everyone to see. I just hope the rain stops so they can have fun. Anyways, I know I recieved a few emails about Thanksgiving and Christmas this year.

We still have no solid plans yet. Christmas Eve were always with Katie's family that night. I believe were going to be at her brothers house, Aaron this year?! As for us were thinking about staying home this year and watching movies via Netflix since it cost so much money to see a movie in the theaters. If anyone wants to come up and have a Christmas breakfast or dinner please let us know. Or drive around town and see some Christmas lights. In past years we've traveled alot and I think we just need a break.

Robert "Uncle Coach" Cheeke will be back in Oregon at the end of November. Be great to see him and watch some basketball games. I know the kids enjoy see uncle coach alot. Robert is busy right now finishing the last two tour trips and is now starting to work on a second book in Florida. What a hard live being there right now.

Hello family and friends,

Well, I've done everything I can with the Disneyland store, did the interview and group meetings. So I've heard nothing back yet. Hmm, did I get the job?! I see that PetSmart has the whole month of November schedule out now. So I have no clue what's going to happen if I'm going to get this second job. But I'm starting to look for full-time work once again.

I enjoy helping the kids and being there for them. Working part-time is fun but the hours are good but Katie told me I need to get paid more money. Sucks every month were short on bills and were trying to make each month. Even at Katie works, they are cutting hours because there is nothing to do. No cases for the Vet. clinic and it's getting boring. I mean Katie goes to all these classes to learn new things in the vet field but doesn't get to use them because they have no new cases. So what's the point of being there?!! I've told Katie to find something else in the field, that could use her efforts.

Word has it that there might be a emergency vet. clinic opening near us, close to home. Which Katie is willing to work there to make up missing hours. Which then again would help us out alot in not being behind in bills. Sometimes I hate the end if the year, when were always short on funds again. I have to agree with my dad on something he said yesterday. We need to save money for the down the road for a retirement. Plus I think my dad would like to see me have a career but just having a full-time would be great. So where do I go from here?!!

I haven't been busy with comics right now since all my focus has been on PetSmart. But I'm pricing all the comics in the inventory I have already. My goal is to sell most of them and sell whatever else Katie and I don't need in the house and start all over. My biggest goal is to think about is getting the car paided off and that would help alot...big time.

Really.....

I'm working in the office, when I hear my phone ring and I go over to answer it. Amber sitting on the couch watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse says, "Daddy!!! No calls....I'm watching my shows!!!" I'm trying not to laugh but Amber was very serious!! "Daddy!!!" she says. I said, okay and left the room. Holy cow, what a little diva she is.

Next thing, is.... Happy Birthday to my nephew Elliott Penn who turns 5 today!!! Way to go buddy!!!

If you didn't see it last weekend, the game Oregon St. vs Washington. Live Saturday night on ESPN. What a good game is was. Yeah, I was a little upset with how the Beavers played in the first half but second half, what the hell happened. Couldn't move the ball to kick a simple field goal to win the game. Instead we went into double over-time losing 35-34 to Washington. I'm going to give Mike Riley credit for going for the win with two points. Katz passed the ball and the reciever had it but couldn't hold on to the ball. Washington wins. Very tough lose for the Beavs but they came out to play. I tip my hat off for a great game.

Oh my gosh, so I finally was able to talk to my boss at PetSmart about me taking on a second job for the Christmas. The look on his face wasn't to happy. He looked at me and said, "Your first job is here, were I need you." Well, I replyed by saying "Well, if you have the hours to give me, tell me please. I'm doing this for my family Dave." My personal thought on this is that Dave doesn't want to lose me to another job. But it's very hard to read him. So I'm going to do a wait and see on things. I'm just asking for more hours and if he's willing to give it to me, I'm okay with that.

So the next few weeks will be very interesting. Oh yeah, I did finally get my review at PetSmart!! Speaking of PetSmart again, we have stuff toy dogs for kids and animals aka dogs!! $5.00 for small and extra large for $20.00. Each stuff toy sold 10% of the money goes to charities for PetSmart to help animals. Spend a little money on a gift and help save a cat or dog.

I've talked to Linda about this but I'm going to ask Katie if she wants to help out more with 4-H club, to help teach the kids about horses. I think it would be great to have Katie there on Sundays. Plus were on the farm more and I don't mind watching the kids as Katie helps out her mom. I think it's a good thing.

Finally, Katie and I are trying are best to do any for the kids. I'm asking anyone here, if the other job doesn't workout. Let me know if you guys need help any where else. From 30 to 31 now

Greetings family and friends,

The year of turning 30 was fun in the beginning but job waise...it was a little crazy. Jobs at Kohl's and SkateWorld didn't work out this year. That's okay. Being out of work and applying for over 165 different job was crazy, very stressful and sometimes scary. But thanks god PetSmart answered the call for me and gave me a part-time job with good pay and health insurance.

Kids are all geat. Ryan is just like me in so many ways, I totally see it now. Who turns 7 in December!!!! Benjanim loves his dad, a total goof off around the house and very good student at school. As for the little diva miss Amber, she loves her daddy when mommy isn't around but I love my daughter.

Now turning 31 today. I'm hoping for a better year until my next birthday. I'm thankful for alot of things, I have a great wife, Katie who is the greatest. I have great in-laws, Linda and Gerald. I have my very sweet sister Jadah and my brother in-law Sean. My other brother in-laws Jeremy and Aaron. Special thanks to my mom and my dad for all the support they both have giving me over the years. Two my best friends, Brett, and Robert aka Coach, thanks for the support means alot and thanks.

Good morning,

Well, good news to tell everyone. I have my 6 month review coming up tomorrow at PetSmart. Which means a small raise but that's okay with me. I really have no clue what I'll be getting raise wise but other good news. I have an job interview at the Disneyland Store at Washington Square Mall this coming Friday. So my thought is this about having two jobs. I need the extra money to pay off bills since Christmas is always been tight with Katie and I, plus I want the kids to have a good Christmas. Yes, I'm still keeping PetSmart as my main job since I'm paying for health insurance for the kids and myself.

As everyone know I love comic's, love reading them, trading them and selling them. Well, I'm taking my love for comics to a new level. I'm starting to draw again. Yeah, last Saturday I was at Fred's and looking at blank drawing books and got me thinking about drawing again. I mean Ryan is flippin good at drawing alot of different things. He practice's alot on drawing, heck my father in-law is good at drawing things and so is my dad. Well, I might was well join the club.

Netflix you rock. For only $9.00 a month and watch any movie, any tv show, anytime is great. Katie loves it and were saving so much money by not buying movies and renting or by driving to the local store (save on gas). In other news going on.... I'm working on price all my comics for sale and working on thwe website to post for sale right now. Go to http://www.northwest-comics.com/ I'm currently doing the Top 10 Halloween movies 2 see. Plus updating on current news and reviews there as well. Don't forget my top 5 comics of the week. So things are good here. Got some birthday's coming up in the next few days. Halloween and much more things happening.

Speaking of happening.... Katie wants to get more crafts. Were taking a page from someone else but were trying to save more money at the same time. You know I think it would be great for her and the kids to do something cool like that. I might help out....Okay I might need to think about it. Anyways, if you have any idea's let me know.

Here is trouble.....Oscar (right), Mischief (middle) and Criminal (left). What are we going to do?!!! I'm glad to let everyone know they all get along so very well. We all call Criminal....Crim for short. Kids all handle him and I'm glad he puts up with it. As for Mischief, he doesn't like the kids very much or Katie but he loves me!!!! As for Oscar.....Yeah he's Oscar!!!! Lazy cat.

Poor Oscar!!!! Life is so tough for him. Not really.
